Our Process

Our talented team members and their unique qualifications allow us to provide a vast range of services, including complete interior and exterior design, architectural house plans, landscape design, 3D rendering, custom furniture, bespoke textiles and more. Concept to completion, cohesive and continuity, indoors and out. Michele Dunker and her team will help you create the custom home of your dreams.

Phase 01

Consultation + Asessment + Agreement

Our first step is to visit with you for a consultation to help determine your needs for the project. We want to get to know the person that’ll be living in the space we design; your style, your passions, and your needs. During this appointment, we’ll provide you with recommendations, ideas, and guidance for the project. We’ll discuss layouts, materials, budgets, timeline, and give you an upfront idea of what the process will look like. Our Design Proposal will then be sent for your approval to start the project.

Phase 02

Concept + Schematics

After we have approval to start your project, our talented design team will produce detailed 2D or 3D mockups for your review to ensure the plans meet your needs and exceed your expectations. We’ll present these ideas to you in-person; walking through all the features and options. One revision is included.

We deliver a full set of schematics that you can present to your preferred contractors for bids. We are happy to work directly with your general contractors or refer contractors for you to consider.

Phase 03

Materials + Interior Finishes

To make the best use of your time and streamline the process, our next step is to pre-select all finish materials for your approval. We have great relationships with some of finest suppliers of cabinetry, countertops, flooring, lighting, and wall coverings. We can set up meetings for you at our recommended partners’ showrooms or bring samples to you directly. We’ll carefully document all your approved selections, down to the grout color, so you can be confident in the finishing touches coming together exactly like you’d imagined.

Phase 04

Project Oversight + Site Visits

While we don’t provide general contracting services, we want to be a resource for you and for the project to result in a space that fulfills your vision. We will happily assist you in interviewing and selecting a contractor who will have your best interest at heart. During the entire process, we’ll be your advisor and advocate. As we oversee your project, we will make regular site visits and walk throughs to provide you with a report of site conditions. We can also meet with you on site if there are any changes or decisions that need to be made.

Phase 05

Furniture Specifications + Interior Decorating

The final finishing phase of our design process is where your home gets the chance to show your style and personality. All furnishings, window coverings, accents, accessories and art are selected and presented for your approval. Items are installed and styled for a beautiful and inspiring finish, with the goal of leaving your home like the magazine-worthy space you dreamed of.

This is also the exciting moment when we walk through the finished space and point out all the features and benefits of each item, discuss how to care for each piece and any warranties available.
